The past two days were pretty “low” in terms of taking 100’s of pictures. Yesterday we went on a 5 mile hike along Beaver Pond Trail near Mammoth Hot Springs and we have not seen much besides the usual woodland and forests.
Here is a sepia shot of the Udine Falls between Mammoth Hot Springs and Tower Fall Junction:

Today at Memorial Day we got stuck into some severe bear traffic jams. One Cinnamon Black Bear just passed Swan Lake Flats where he killed the elk calf directly after giving birth.

A severe motorcylce accident at North Twin Lakes led to another big traffic jam toward Norris as the closed the road completely for the helicopter to land. Therefore, we headed back to Mammoth Hot Springs and drove towards Tower Fall. The second Black Bear we saw at the usual place near Tower Falls creating another severe jam…

At the Petrified Tree we finally managed to see the bull moose which has been reported being in that area.

Then on our way back towards Gardiner via Dunraven Pass we run into some upcoming rain and that kept pretty much for the rest of the day. We will see what tomorrow will bring…
