With the past days being pretty slow the last two days were quite impressive. It all started at the badger den in Little America where a huge crowd gathers together every day to look at the fresh badgers.

And this is the reason for the line up of multi thousand dollar photoequipment:
We got our shots, left the crowd and found this guy enjoying his late afternoon snack in the sunshine:
And then almost at the northern end of the Yellowstone National Park the mountain goats with their newbies created another little jam on the street.
And this morning started perfectly for us as the wolf drought is over. While driving towards Lamar Valley in the early morning hours we already seen people lining up along the road and then we have seen two members of the Blacktail pack.

And another black but uncollared wolf.
They took down an elk either in the late evening hours yesterday or very early today.
