Luckily – for me – was the fact the I had a couple of days off last weekend and Dirk Nickel from a big German Quad and ATV dealer in Simmertal near Bad Kreuznach asked me whether I could perform a photoshooting for three new models.
Those were on ATV and two Quads where a full line up of images was required
The first day of the shooting was last Friday but it started to rain shortly after the first set of pictures were taken. Luckily – again – we had most pictures taken already and the pictures with the details were taken later under a shelter.
Here is something you may consider if you have to deal with lots of reflections: Use a polarizer filter and the bike will look completely different. Something you would not have as standard but to enhance the decals for example.
This is the picture taken without the polarizer:
And this is the picture with the polarizer:
We skipped Saturday for shooting completely and decided to start early in the morning on Sunday. I left the house around 6:00 AM and arrived at the store shortly after 7:30 AM.
The weather was perfect and after we finished the “standard photos” we shot some action – which I had not done for quite a while but that’s what I personally love to shoot.
One of the mechanics and a driver from hell used a little natural ramp to lift off both Quads – the 450 and the 300.
He obviously enjoyed the stuff as well…
And finally he turned the ground upside down. Please notice that those action shots were taken on private land!
And here to add some oil into the fire of new camera users a 16 picture sequence (5.5MB) taken with my outdated Mark II – click on the image to see the animated gif:
