Last week my sisters asked me wether I would like to take a couple of pictures for my grandmother’s upcoming 90th birthday. Usually, I reject those family requests as I am not satisfied with the results but not this time.
It was my choice of the location and we used a nearby nature preserve in Sandhausen to create some quick and dirty outdoor shots. Though the weather was not perfect we finished everything within 45 minutes and not only I am satisfied with the results.

It turns out that for those kind of jobs my Canon 1Ds Mark III will be the new working horse. In conjunction with the Canon 24-70mm f2.8 L or the Canon 85mm f1.2 L II lens you get a brilliant image quality. Enough to get really large and high quality prints.
