After spending a couple of days in Florida City/Homestead as the gateway to the Everglades we are finally back at the Gulf Coast in Ft. Myers. With the drop of temperatures – it was below freezing point last night – wildlife usually slows down.
The day before the cold dropping in the Anhinga Trail was pretty productive though it was already pretty chilly.
Even the shady areas provide some room for interesting shots as well
This afternoon we spent looking for the burrowing owls in Cape Coral and found some nice places. Unfortunately most of them provide best shooting at early morning rather than late afternoon. We will see how this will develop the next days.
